JOHN CARPENTER
Elder
John was baptized in 1972 at the age of 10 years old. He grew up mostly in Portage county, and previously attended the Kent church of Christ. He began attending the Hartville church of Christ in 1994. In the past, John has played a big role in the congregation as a deacon with the youth: organizing outings, devotionals, teaching and with the Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes program. He became an elder in 2015.
John lives in Mogadore with his wife Lisa and daughter Carrie; they also have 3 boys who have left the nest. An electrician by trade, he is currently the Residential Department Manager for JW Didado Electric. John loves the outdoors, fishing, hunting and just being in the woods. He also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.

LEWIS TURNER
Elder
Lewis was baptized when he was 13 and has been actively involved in the church since. He is at least a 4th generation member as far as he can go back. His grandfather was an elder in the church almost 100 years ago in the 1920's and 30's. Originally from Huber Heights, Ohio, in his teens he was involved in the church bus ministry program that took hours of scheduling and preparation each week.
He and Jeffa married and settled in the Hartville church in 1982 where they raised all three of their boys. Through the years at Hartville, Lewis has continued to be quite active in church work serving as a teacher, a deacon, being in charge of the youth group, Bible class program, fellowship, Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes and now an elder. Lewis loves family time especially with his three grandchildren, (Murphy, James, and Frankie Jane) who live in Tennessee.

TODD ZACOUR
Elder
After being taught the gospel, Todd was baptized in 1994 and has been attending Hartville since 2003. Originally from Orrville, Todd currently lives in Canal Fulton with his wife Melissa and children Serena and Connor. Todd is a Family Practice physician with Pioneer Physicians Network with his office in the Portage Lakes area of Akron.
He has served the Hartville church in the past as the deacon of missions, the deacon of education, and the deacon of fellowship. His hobbies include reading, working around the house, watching movies, spending time with family and listening to music (his favorite band is The Beatles!).
DEACONS

JASON JONES
Deacon of Community Outreach
Jason Jones and his family placed membership at the Hartville church of Christ in October of 2018 and since then have enjoyed every minute of worshipping together with the Hartville family, partaking in fellowship activities, and taking an active role in planning Vacation Bible School. At the age of 17, Jason chose to live his life in service to the Lord and was baptized. Not long after, he started serving in the church, taking on roles such as teaching, song leading, and working where needed.
Jason is married to his high school sweetheart, Audrey, and together they have three children, Zavien, Melana, and Vivienne. Together, they have classically homeschooled their children for 8 years, and Audrey currently serves as the local director and Area Representative for Classical Conversations. Jason is employed as a civil engineer for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources working in the Orphan Well Program based in New Philadelphia; this work encompasses travel throughout the state, but it also allows for time with his family. In his spare time, Jason enjoys bike riding, running, and taking time with family for whatever events or experiences come their way.

BEN MARKO
Deacon of Finance
Ben was baptized in June of 2003 and has attended the Hartville Church of Christ since late 2004. He has been a deacon since 2013, now acting as the Treasurer of the congregation. Ben enjoys teaching Bible classes and preaching an occasional sermon when a substitute is needed. Ben grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and went through the school system there, graduating in 1999. Ben has worked at Lake High School since 2006 as a math teacher. He has also coached basketball and debate during his time at Lake.
He is married to Katie and they have two children, Mallory and Shawn. The family loves to travel and generally experience adventures together. They have visited Chicago, Philadelphia, Hawaii, Oregon, North Carolina, France, Iceland, and Aruba as a family. They have also visited Disney Land, Michigan’s Adventure, and Cedar Point, having become roller coaster lovers. Besides spending time with his family, Ben loves sports and rooting for his hometown teams. He also loves most any type of strategy game and playing cards.

MINISTER

CRAIG RESSLER
Craig grew up in a small rural town outside of Pittsburg (and we try not to hold that against him!). In 2001, he decided he needed to make some changes in his life and moved to Tennessee to live with his aunt. He started attending the Karns church of Christ in Knoxville, TN with his aunt. The young adults group there had a big impact on his life an he was baptized in 2002. It was also there that Craig met Amanda; they were married in 2009 and now have 4 boys: Eli, Owen, Isaac and Aden.
Craig attended the East Tennessee School of Preaching (currently known as the Southeast Institute of Biblical studies) and graduated in 2008. After graduation, he was the minister at the Oakhill church of Christ in Covington, GA from 2009-2017. The Ressler family moved to Ohio in December 2017 and Craig has been the minister at Hartville since January of 2018.
In his free time, Craig loves going to the gym, spending time with his family and playing video games with his oldest, Eli. Also, he loves anytime he can spend boating on a lake!
